kaa zoo page54
Something is not right here. No.
Something is very wrong. This is definitely not your bed, your room or even- you glance down- your pajamas. You are wearing extremely clean white silky PJs, unlike anything you have ever owned in your life. ‘Did the Kaa knock me out, steal my clothes and stick me in here?’ You wonder. The idea of a bunch of aliens snatching your inderwear is too freaky to consider. You’ve got to get out of here!
And so you shove Ellen out of the way and sprint for the open door. She goes sprawling, causght totally off guard. She yells: “Help!” but you are already outside!
The corridor outside your room is like nothing you have seen. It’s huge, as big as a stadium, and there are people, oddly dressed people like Ellen (and yourself) going to and fro going who knoews where. You rush into the crowd, looking for Clarisse, or anybody you know, but you find nothing but strangers. They give you very odd, even offended looks, as you push past them, panic building inside.
Suddenly a pair of giant Kaa loom up in front of you. These are much bigger than the ones you met in the woods, 4 or 5 times bigger infact. The grab your arms in their tenticaly grasp, and now its your turn to yell.
“Help! Help me!!” you shout to the passing crowd, but everyone ignores you.
“He just went Crazy!” you hear Ellen explain, but you can’t see her, as you are too busy thrashing around, trying to get loose.
“It Is Damaged.” One of the giant Kaa says in a deeply powerful voice. “It cannot be reasoned with. It cannot be useful.”
“It is not an intelligent being” the other Kaa agrees. “Let us sedate it. It must be contained securely. Perhaps a place can be found for it as a laboratory test subject.”
“Or It may be suitable as a specimen for exhibition.” suggests the first Kaa
“In a Zoo. Agreed.” says the second.
The greenlight washes over you again…
