runaway attempt
You slip quietly through the crowd, making your way toward the edge of the encampment, where all the motorcycles and trucks are parked. You haven't gotten very far before you run right into One-eyed Joe, the clumsy gasoline spilling Rode Pie Rat.
"Hey! Where dya think yer goin!" He exclaims and makes a grab for you. You duck under his arm and run for it.
"Hey! Grab that kid!!" He shouts.
Of all the luck, you can't help but think, risking a look over your shoulder as you flee, spotted by a ONE-EYED pirate!
You've got a good lead on Joe and the rest of the pirates, but Axel, the gang's boss pops out from behind a truck and sticks out a leg. You trip over his boots anticlimactically, and he collars you.
"Toss em back in the van! And tape 'em up good this time!" he orders, handing you over to Joe.
And so, you spend the rest of the day taped up again, just waiting for nightfall-- when they say the Bogeys come out.
