You hurry back the way you came, panic rising just a little. The woods are darker and more tanged than ever, and you can’t help feeling that you aren’t going back the same way you came in. Suddenly you become aware that just a foot to your right the ground disappears where a deep ravine opens up! You open your mouth to warn Clarisse but just then a thorn branch whips back toward your face!
